iFSS 2027 On-Snow World Championships
The IFSS On-Snow World Championships represent the highest level of international sprint sled dog competition. Held every two years, this event brings together the fastest teams from around the world to compete on the sport’s biggest stage. Within the sprint community, it is considered our version of an Olympic-level event.
Competing at Worlds is not simply about qualifying for a race, it’s about earning a place among the most prepared, disciplined, and competitive teams in the sport. The level of execution required is exceptional, and the margin for error is small. It is the ultimate test of speed, conditioning, and teamwork.
Building the Team
I began competing in four-dog sled in 2022 with the goal of developing a cohesive team capable of competing at a high level. Since then, the focus has been on structured training, race experience, and building a true unit where each dog’s strengths complement the others.
By 2027, our dogs will reach an ideal performance window. Quip will be in her prime at five, Endo is maturing into a powerful three-year-old, and Egg brings drive and umph at two. Rhone will participate if he can, but otherwise he will be the best mascot. Together they balance speed, strength, and smarts to work as a team.
