  • Winter 2026

    Sled training and continue building race experience with the team to add to our resume.

  • May 2026

    Applications for Team USA open, we have our race resume all polished.

  • August 2026

    Team USA is selected, most of the planning will occur before September. Uniform will need to be purchased.

  • September-December 2026

    Flights booked, including confirmation for dogs on flights. Dryland training starts and we’ll focus on nice and easy with a build to sled.

  • January 2027

    Training swaps from dryland to sled. We’ll get in a race or two to really fine tune the team.

  • February 2027

    All the hard work is rewarded, time for us to enjoy the race!

Preparing for this international competition involves far more than race day itself. Travel, equipment, veterinary preparation, and logistical planning all play a critical role in bringing our dogs to the world stage. We’ve estimated this trip will cost us a total of $10,000.

This chart highlights the major expenses required to prepare and transport the team to the IFSS 2027 On-Snow World Championships in Finland. Support from partners helps ensure that both athlete and dogs arrive prepared to compete at the highest level. The entirety of this trip will be self funded.
